The Chevy Florida Fishing Report is an Emmy winning, fishing talk show with Capt. Rick Murphy as one of the hosts. The show will air LIVE on Sun Sports to close to 7.5 million households for 90 minutes every Thursday evening. Sun Sports will air re-runs of the show three additional times each week.

The Chevy Florida Fishing Report’s content is tailor-made for the state of Florida, with a goal of educating anglers on where, how and what to use while fishing. This enables them to spend less time running and more time fishing successfully. Every edition of the show features eight professional captains that each provides a 4-minute live fishing report of what is happening inshore and offshore in their respective areas (9 regions of FL). These segments are particularly useful airing before the weekend, so that the weekend fisherman can have an idea of how to make his or her fishing weekend more fun and successful.

The Chevy Florida Fishing Report also incorporates two 4-minute special fishing and product information segments. The first is a 4-minute segment on how to catch the species of the week. This provides advice on what bait, tackle and techniques to use in order to catch each featured species. The second 4-minute segment spotlights fishing and marine products in the market. The hosts educate the viewer about these products with in-depth descriptions, purpose and uses for each of the items. These include products that relate to fishing, boating, nautical equipment, and general consumer products for outdoor recreation.

The Chevy Florida Fishing Report also provides a 2 ½ – 3 minute “Tip of the Week” segment each week offering tips and techniques related to everything the viewer needs to know in order to be prepared and successful on and off the water. This includes fishing tips, maintenance, tackle, boating safety and more.
